The other side of the ravine is a good hundred feet away

You can see the grand entrance to the Lost Mine. It has caved in, a rubble-strewn wreck. Dozens, maybe even hundreds, of old skeletons lie dead on the ground around the entrance way, the site of some great battle. Only one giant chain remains as a way across, slick with ice and snow.
