Would I support such a relationship in real life?

I happen to like a very problematic pairing, one that's gotten a boost in attention due to recent media. I won't name names, only that the it's dysfunctional as hell, even abusive. Despite saying as much, a friend informed me that I was endorsing abuse. Sorryto treat you like Dear Abby, but thoughts?
