There are several threads of relationships and stories that bind these people together. In this production the story is easy to follow because the acting is so wonderful. You believe that this is a woman who has led the life ascribed to her. He plays multiple roles: a cantankerous jailer in the first scene and then he alternates between Charles II and Scot.
