Look for connecting words and themes. Difficult verses that pretty much always have a corresponding verse that says the same thing in a simpler way. Is there a principle on display? Is there a matter of wisdom to be considered? Is there an idea I had never considered or truly taken to heart before?

I can think of at least 10-12 places or activities he's suggested that she has posted about specifically as being her favorite things to do.

It's as if he's watching what she does and asking me to do it I just don't understand how else he would be coming up with these suggestions that just so happen to be the exact places and things his ex is currently doing and has done in the past.
