The film is set during the height of apartheid in South Africa

The racial prejudice is obviously expected to be an effect on the story. But this is obviously something deeper than road rage. It is an odd choice to cast Steve Coogan in the role of a concerned lawyer. His best roles have been in comedy as in THE TRIP and THE TRIP TO ITALY as well as in ALAN PARTRIDGE.

Whenever I walk home he will zero in on me in the crowd and watch me until I turn the corner.

There is a middle aged man who stands on the corner regularly and leers at me whenever he sees me outside. (examples: I had seen him watching me from his door way when I've left my house once and he watched me until I got to the end of block.
