Every young man owes it to himself to put his happiness up as his highest moral calling

Many men lie to themselves, and in addition they even have a hard time facing that. A plus for you: the status as a foreigner is high. There are not many of your kind. There is no village gossip tied to your past. I would walk by and girls would stare at me and give each other high fives if I smiled at them.
