Dawson first learned about the festival when she was a freshman

This festival is a collaboration with the Wisconsin Book Festival in an attempt to bridge the community with the performers. From Thursday through Saturday, the performances were lively, thought provoking, and deep. On Friday, the event consisted of four performances from First Wave scholars.
