Both Cap and Slade are mentally as well as physically enhanced, though writers have tended to forget that about Cap. But in theory that was why Cap was able to become such a good fighter so quickly, and it still contributes to his formidability. Sure, you can take out the obvious employment of the actual Iron fist, and related esoteric, superhuman powers.
