Seemingly little effort put into making it fast

Of course, older versions of Windows and alternative operating systems will still install and run on Kaby Lake and Zen. Dumbass folks don't do any research on how to get thru the TSA lines quickly. Moral of the story - bleeding edge will cut you - and it's not needed for most users.
